New type approval R58 rev 3 (UN regulation 58 revision 3) for under run bars, also known as rear under run protection devices (RUPD’s). The new rules for under run bars for trucks and trailers came into force in September 2019 for whole vehicle type approvals (transition period has now passed). National small series approvals, and individual type approvals (IVA’s) will be able to continue using our previous R58 02 approved products in the UK, and we will be able to supply both types of under run protection bar (RUPD) going forward. The first models in our new range are available now, with more being added through the year.
